Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

The Oil & Gas Climate Initiative (OGCI) is a CEO-led organization bringing together 12 of the largest oil and gas companies worldwide. Created in 2014, the objective is to catalyse climate actions in the industry and accelerate the energy transition. OGCI member companies collaborate on topics critical for decarbonization, including CCUS, low-carbon fuels, energy efficiency, methane emissions abatement, and natural climate solutions.

Since the December 2023 launch at COP28 of the "Oil and Gas Decarbonization Charter" (OGDC), OGCI has been providing the Secretariat for this initiative. The Charter aims to rally the world's National Oil Companies and International Oil Companies towards common climate goals, contributing to global efforts to meet climate challenges.
