Health and Safety Manager - Field Based

Contract Health & Safety Manager – Data Centre Project Location: East London
Contract: 6 Months (Potential Extension)
IR35 Status: Outside IR35
Start: Immediate

The Role
We are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to support the delivery of a major Data Centre project in East London. The successful candidate will ensure compliance, drive a positive safety culture, and support the safe delivery of construction and commissioning activities.

Key Responsibilities
Lead site Health & Safety activities.
Conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
Review RAMS and support high-risk works.
Monitor subcontractor compliance and performance.
Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
Deliver inductions, toolbox talks, and safety briefings.
Ensure compliance with HSE legislation and project standards.

Requirements
Proven Health & Safety management experience on construction, infrastructure, M&E, MEP, or Data Centre projects.
NEBOSH qualification.
Strong knowledge of CDM Regulations and UK HSE legislation.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Available for an immediate start.

Desirable
Previous Data Centre or mission-critical project experience.
IOSH, IIRSM, or similar professional membership.
Experience with commissioning, energisation, and permit-to-work systems.
