Teacher of English Role Description Are you passionate about English and motivated by the opportunity to make a meaningful difference to young people's futures? We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed practitioner from a primary, secondary, or further education background to join our English team at Newcastle College. This is an exciting opportunity for a Teacher of English to support learners in developing the skills, confidence, and qualifications they need to succeed. Whether you are experienced in primary, secondary, or FE settings, your ability to communicate complex ideas clearly, foster a love of English, and create engaging and inclusive learning experiences will be highly valued. We welcome applications from teachers keen to transfer their skills into the further education sector. As a dedicated English teacher, you will support learners to achieve their potential by using a range of effective strategies to build confidence, address barriers to learning, and secure positive outcomes. You will work collaboratively with colleagues and managers across our committed and supportive English department, exploring innovative approaches to engage learners and motivate them to succeed. You will promote an inclusive, supportive, and positive classroom environment, inspiring students of all abilities, including those with SEND, to attend, participate, and take pride in their progress. In addition to delivering high‐quality teaching, you will contribute to the ongoing development of the English curriculum, ensuring it is relevant, accessible, and responsive to the needs of our learners. You will also work collaboratively across the department to continually enhance our provision.
