Lecturer in Social Work

We are seeking a motivated and collaborative individual to join our team as a Lecturer in Social Work (Teaching & Scholarship). This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of teaching on our social work postgraduate programmes, with a key focus on the AMHP, MA Social Work and CPD programmes. Responsibilities * Contributing to the design and delivery of social work education and related support in respect of teaching * Contributing directly to teaching and assessment on the Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) programme, MA Social Work and other CPD provision * Providing effective student support via academic advisement * Contributing to links with external contacts such as other educational bodies, employers, and professional bodies to foster collaboration. You should demonstrate: Essential Criteria * An understanding of contemporary social work practice education for qualifying social work students and post‐qualifying mental health AMHP students in England and Wales * Relevant recent experience of understanding the statutory AMHP role and its implementation in current practice * Demonstrable scholarship experience or potential to develop this * Relevant first and higher degrees (educated to MA/MSc level) * Current registration as a social worker with Social Work England Desirable Criteria * Experience of supporting students undertaking practice placements in practice agencies * Experience of working collaboratively with People with Lived Experience of social work We value transferable skills and real‐world experience as much as formal qualifications.
