Southside Glasgow
We are looking for an experienced, professional and customer-focused Hotel Reception Supervisor to join our busy boutique-style hotel on Glasgows Southside.
Situated beside Hampden Stadium, we are the closest hotel to Scotlands national stadium and regularly host football and concert hospitality events. Our venue includes 24 bedrooms, one of Glasgows largest and most popular beer gardens, a restaurant, indoor function suite and outdoor garden suite event space.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment and enjoys being at the centre of a busy operation.
The Role
As Reception Supervisor, you will oversee the smooth day-to-day running of the hotel reception while delivering exceptional customer service to all guests. This is a hands-on role requiring excellent organisation, attention to detail and the ability to remain calm under pressure during busy matchdays, concerts and event weekends.
You will be responsible for guest check-ins and check-outs, bedroom reservations, restaurant diary management and end-of-day system procedures, ensuring all financials balance accurately.
Key Responsibilities
Welcome guests and deliver outstanding customer service at all times
Manage guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently and professionally
Handle bedroom reservations and manage booking systems accurately
Manage and maintain the restaurant reservation diary
Complete end-of-day system procedures and ensure all figures balance correctly
Work confidently with figures, reports and cash handling procedures
Respond professionally to guest enquiries, complaints and difficult situations
Support the wider hotel and events operation during busy service periods
Ensure reception standards, presentation and administration remain at a high level
Communicate effectively with all hotel departments to ensure smooth operations
Ensure the reception team consistently delivers an exceptional customer service experience to all guests
Lead by example and maintain the highest standards of professionalism and guest care
Ensure all team members follow company procedures, operational standards and protocols at all times
About You
We are looking for someone who:
Must have at least 1 years previous hotel reception supervisory experience
Has excellent attention to detail and is comfortable working with figures and balancing systems
Is proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
Thrives in a very fast-paced hospitality environment
Is highly organised with strong communication skills
Can confidently handle difficult situations and guest complaints professionally xgikmsk
Is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service
Is flexible with shifts and understands the demands of hospitality operations
Is reliable, dependable and willing to work when the business needs support most
Shift Pattern
This role requires full flexibility and includes a mixture of shifts including:
7am 3pm
3pm 11pm
Late and early shifts when required
Weekend working is essential, particularly during football fixtures, concerts and major events
