With a reputation for reliability, technical expertise, and repeat business, they continue to secure a strong pipeline of work, offering long-term career opportunities within a stable and supportive environment.Our client is seeking a Quantity Surveyor with a strong groundworks contractor background to join their commercial team in Liverpool. You will be responsible for managing the financial and contractual aspects of multiple housing groundworks projects, ensuring cost control, profitability, and compliance across all stages of delivery.Managing the commercial performance of groundworks and infrastructure projects from start to final accountPreparing and submitting interim valuations, variations, and final accountsProcuring and managing subcontractors, including negotiation and payment certificationMonitoring project costs, budgets, and cash flow forecastsIdentifying and managing commercial risks and opportunitiesLiaising with site teams, clients, and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project deliveryEnsuring compliance with contract terms and company commercial proceduresSupporting tendering and pre-construction activities where requiredProven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within a groundworks or civil engineering contractorStrong understanding of housing infrastructure packages (roads, sewers, drainage, foundations, etc.)Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skillsAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyStrong IT skills, including Excel and relevant commercial softwareGood understanding of standard forms of contractFull UK driving licenceDegree/HND in Quantity Surveying or similar (preferred but not essential)Competitive salary of £45,000 - £60,000 depending on experienceAttractive package including car allowance, pension, and bonus schemeStrong pipeline of secured work providing long-term stabilityGenuine opportunities for career progression within a growing business~ Apply: If you're interested in this opportunity, then please get in touch today with our Commercial Specialist, Mark Harris.
