Machine Setter

Role Overview

The role of Machine Setter will be considered a Senior Operative working closely with the Engineering/Production Manager and assisting in tool changing and machine setup operations.

Rate of Pay

£15.45 p/h

Hours of Work

4 on / 4 off, days/nights rotation

Responsibilities

• Work as a team to ensure machine changeovers are completed in a timely manner on days and done to the plan for production start up on nights.
• Assemble processing equipment for production start ups.
• Work closely with the hygiene team on nights to strip and rebuild machinery and equipment for cleaning.
• Assist engineering in completing machine maintenance.
• Manage the blade stock and blade rotation.
• Be the point of contact for blade issues on shift.
• Escalate blade issues to the shift management.

Qualifications

• NVQ2 or equivalent desirable, but not essential.
• Trade qualifications or experience in plumbing, plastering, carpentry or industrial environment.
• Shift work (including nights).
• Hand tools experience desirable.
