Role Overview

You will provide technical support to Canonical employees and customers, assist with AV support for conferences and events, and manage support cases from qualification to resolution. Collaboration with colleagues and escalation to senior engineers will be part of your responsibilities.

Responsibilities
  • Investigate and escalate customer-reported issues.
  • Resolve complex problems related to Canonical's product portfolio.
  • Ensure support cases meet SLAs and achieve high customer satisfaction.
  • Engage with customers via phone, ticketing, and remote sessions.
  • Participate in weekend support rotations.
  • Maintain and contribute to knowledge base articles.
  • Understand Ubuntu development processes to set accurate customer expectations.
Candidate Profile
  • Proficient in written and spoken English with excellent presentation skills.
  • Strong academic background in a technical field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with Linux troubleshooting and integration.
  • Ability to navigate logs and stack traces effectively.
  • Customer support experience, with a focus on service quality and communication.
  • Willingness to learn, adapt, and handle customer-facing pressure.
  • Programming fundamentals in any language.
  • Availability to travel internationally twice a year for up to two weeks.
