Multi-Skilled Technician

Connect Appointments is recruiting a Multi-Skilled Technician to join an innovative manufacturing business based in Musselburgh.

Our client designs and manufactures specialist energy storage products from a busy production facility, offering a varied and hands-on role combining manufacturing operations with planned preventative maintenance and facilities support.

What's on offer?

• Ongoing temporary position
• Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pm
• Salary dependent on experience

As a Multi-Skilled Technician, your duties will include:

• Supporting daily manufacturing, assembly, filling, testing and dispatch activities
• Carrying out routine PPM inspections and maintaining accurate maintenance records
• Supporting facilities maintenance across plant rooms, compressed air, extraction systems and building fabric
• Carrying out basic electrical and plumbing maintenance including component replacement, minor leak repairs and pipework
• Supporting continuous improvement activities including root cause investigations and corrective actions

To be considered as a Multi-Skilled Technician, you will need:

• Experience in manufacturing, engineering, maintenance or a similar industrial environment
• Practical mechanical aptitude with strong problem-solving skills
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• PPM, basic electrical or plumbing experience is advantageous - a forklift licence and PAT testing experience are also beneficial
