Family & Matrimonial Solicitor Newtownards We are currently working with a progressive and highly regarded Northern Ireland law firm that is seeking to appoint a Family & Matrimonial Solicitor (3+ PQE) to join its expanding specialist family law team based in County Down. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious solicitor to join a well-established practice with a strong reputation for high-quality private family law work across Northern Ireland, including complex matrimonial finance and children matters. The Role The successful candidate will handle a varied caseload of privately funded family and matrimonial matters, including: Separation and divorce Financial settlements and ancillary relief Children Order proceedings and custody disputes Domestic violence matters Civil partnership disputes Cohabitation, pre- and post-nuptial agreements Complex financial cases involving pensions, trusts, businesses, farms and inherited assets Collaborative settlements and negotiated resolutions Cases with cross-jurisdictional or international elements The role offers exposure to high-quality and often complex work, with the opportunity to work alongside experienced specialists in this area. Ideal Candidate Qualified Solicitor in Northern Ireland with 3+ years PQE Strong experience in family and matrimonial law Ability to manage files independently from instruction to conclusion Excellent client care and interpersonal skills Strong advocacy and negotiation abilities Experience dealing with privately funded matters A sensitive, practical and commercially minded approach Experience in complex financial remedy work and children matters would be particularly advantageous.
