Deputy Manager – Alan Shearer Residential Salary: £15.53 per hour (£29,880 per annum) Location: Newcastle Upon Tyne Hours: 37 hours per week, flexible over a 7-day rota. We currently do not offer international visa sponsorship. The role involves providing bespoke rehabilitative care for young adults with acquired brain injuries and learning disabilities at our Alan Shearer Residential Service. Responsibilities * Work to your own initiative and as part of a team. * Take responsibility for ordering and auditing all medication. * Lead, organise and supervise the staff team in their daily duties. * Support the manager in completing and reviewing care plans, risk assessments, daily recording and the quality of the service. * Be proactive in supporting colleagues when dealing with difficult situations, ensuring any challenging behaviour is dealt with by effective use of MAPA. * Support residents to achieve a healthy lifestyle by promoting positive choices using a person-centred approach. Qualifications * Experience supporting adults with acquired brain injuries and disabilities. * Ability to communicate effectively to work together with residents, their families and professionals to achieve best outcomes. * A strong values-base of putting people first and an instinct to safeguard and to work at all times with utmost dignity and respect. * A Diploma level 3 in Health and Social Care or an equivalent qualification.
