Interim Management Accountant Sheffield City Centre - Hybrid / flexible workingI am supporting a public sector organisation in central Sheffield who are seeking an experienced Interim Management Accountant to provide essential support through a busy year-end period. Working as part of a warm, collaborative, and supportive finance team, you'll play a key role in delivering accurate, timely management information and ensuring a smooth close to the financial year.This is an ideal assignment for an experienced management accountant who enjoys adding value quickly and is confident working with stakeholders at all levels.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentarySupport year-end processes, working closely with senior finance colleagues and external stakeholdersProduce accurate balance sheet reconciliations and ensure key controls are robustAssist with budgeting and forecasting cycles where required.Provide financial insight to non-financial managers, supporting effective decision-makingContribute to process improvements and best-practice financial reportingAssist with ad-hoc analysis and financial tasks during a peak period of activityAbout YouQualified or QBE Management Accountant with strong month-end and year-end experiencePrevious experience within the public sector, charity, or not-for-profit environment is highly desirable but not essentialAble to hit the ground running and work confidently during a busy reporting periodStrong Excel skills and the ability to interpret and present financial data clearlyCollaborative team player with excellent communication skillsComfortable working in a hybrid environment and managing competing prioritiesWhat's on Offer3-4 month interim contract with immediate impact and opportunity for extensionHybrid working (2 days per week in central Sheffield office)Supportive, friendly, and team-oriented cultureOpportunity to add value at a critical time of year and strengthen public sector experience#
